From the supplier: The industrial property sector is one of the real estate industry's best performing areas. When properly managed, even older industrial properties can remain attractive as investments. The experiences of Joe's Creek Industrial Park, Ore-Ida Foods and The Equitable Real Estate's Asset Enhancement Fund show how this can be done. In the case of Joe's Creek, a $2 million renovation project facilitated the turnaround of the deteriorating industrial neighborhood and enabled management to raise occupancies to nearly 99% and to achieve a 100% renewal of tenants. Ore-Ida Foods, on the other hand, enlisted the help of Linda Lower of Resource Assoc. to transform a white elephant into a profitable industrial property. Lower did this by dividing the vacant facility into manageable pieces, which are more attractive to tenants. The Asset Enhancement Fund, for its part, developed a successful industrial property by uniting two neighboring industrial parks.
